Through our social involvement program, we demonstrate our commitment to the community by actively sponsoring local organisations and events. We also encourage and support our personnel who are involved in social and sporting activities within the region. Local Events
Pat McDonnell Earthmoving played a significant role in the success of the Whitsundays Festival of Motorsport and was the platinum and naming rights sponsor for the Don River Dash in 2021. We continue our unwavering commitment to the Don River Dash through major sponsorship, ensuring that the event and track preparations receive the support they deserve.
Local Employment & Subcontractors
As a locally owned and operated company, we take pride in employing around 15 staff members who are all from the Whitsunday Region. We are committed to prioritising local employment and training to strengthen our community and contribute to its growth.
Furthermore, our subcontractor fleet and suppliers are also sourced locally within the Whitsunday region. It is our belief that supporting our local economy should always be the first choice before considering procurement elsewhere. By working closely with local partners, we promote sustainable development and economic vitality within our community.
Supporting Charities & Community Groups
Giving back to the community is at the heart of our values. Pat McDonnell Earthmoving has long been actively involved in supporting local charities and community groups within the Whitsunday Region. In 2019, we proudly sponsored a car for the
PCYC Bowen Breaking the Cycle initiative, which assists young people in obtaining driver's licenses. Our contribution to this cause included donating a car, recognising the importance of empowering the youth in our community.
